Artist To Watch 2022 Selection

In 2022 I submitted my work to an emerging artist contest held by Beaumont Studios and B1 Gallery for their inaugural  

Artist To Watch Award. My work was selected, along with four other emerging artists in Vancouver. 

Artist to Watch 2022 Jury Selected Artist - sharai mustatia is opening their show of Analog Photography. Please join us to witness Sharai’s photographic journey through analog film experimentation from the past ten years. This exhibition is sharing pieces related to sharai’s transformational healing through art photography, sound and diorama. The exhibited work is a visual representation of sharai’s life-long search for a sense of Identity and Belonging as a person of Métis/Romanian Ancestry. Works being shared will also represent their explorations of memory, grief and living with and being in active recovery from post traumatic stress disorder. 

On March 23, 2023 will be Opening Night of sharai’s first ever solo gallery exhibition. 2109 Alberta Street, Vancouver, MST

We gratefully acknowledge that this event will take place on the lands of the (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations).
